In light of the recent declaration by World Health Organisation (WHO) of COVID-19 as a pandemic and global escalation over recent days, we would like you to know that we are monitoring the current situation with the COVID -19 (coronavirus). The situation is continually evolving and we will be acting within the advice given by the World Health Organisation and the Australian Government.
Our community is healthy and observing all hygiene and safety rules. There are no cases of COVID 19 among our YWAM community.
At YWAM Whitsunday we will be:
- Communicating up to date and relevant information to all our volunteers and students within YWAM Whitsunday.
- Taking the precautionary measures to keep all our facilities and accommodation clean and safe for all teams, volunteers and students
- Following the guidelines and recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and The Australian Government.
Due to the Australian borders being closed and the uncertain time frame of how long they will be so. We have decided to postpone all international intakes indefinitely. Australians and New Zealanders are encouraged to apply for all available intakes, both Music and Backpacking electives will be running. We are monitoring Government updates and will announce border openings as soon as we know.
We are so sorry for he inconvenience and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to our communications team.
